Construction work includes:
• Two new high level platforms, replacing two existing low level platforms, new canopies, stairs and ramps, handrails and guardrails.
• Installation and construction of two new elevator enclosures, shafts and elevators, elevator machine room, mechanical and electrical rooms.
• Installation of station’s amenities and furnishings including: ticket vending machines, NJ transit benches, trash receptacles, etc.
• Installation of new technology such as: dynamic signage system, public address system, closed-circuit television (CCTV) system and connection to the existing network.
• Renovations to the existing Station Building to comply with all applicable accessibility standards including by not limited to: replacement of existing Station entry doors, selective interior demolition, installation of accessible men’s and women’s rooms, installation of an accessible shelf at the Ticket Window and associated finish work.
