DESCRIPTION:
The Design-Build Team will provide complete design, construction administration and general contracting services (for all trades), including securing of all required permits and approvals, for a new three story, Pre-K through 8 school facility to be located at 721 Summer Avenue, Newark, NJ (Block 763, Lot 10).

The Design-Builder must achieve certification of the project by the U.S. Green Building Council ("USGBC") to LEED for Schools, Silver rating.

The Project must achieve substantial completion, with a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy at a minimum, and ready for occupancy by May, 2012.

Furniture, fixtures and equipment and all information technology devices are the responsibility of the SDA's FFE/IT group.

Project consists of a new 74,000 sf classroom building for Ocean County College and Kean University. Project includes a 210 seat lecture hall, four story central atrium and a 5th floor meeting space (alternate) on a cleared site to the west of the main OCC campus. LEED Silver Certification is required. Site components include a new 192 space parking lot, service drive to the east, geothermal well field and various concrete sidewalks and brick site walls.
